All Stud Hung Racks come with predrilled and countersunk holes on 16” Centers and can quickly be mounted to the wall studs in your home or cabin. It is recommended that these heavy racks be mounted into a stud. However, in areas that do not have studs that line up with the predrilled holes, sheetrock fasteners are also provided. Of course, if you are capable of drilling holes that line up with the stud locations where you want your rack to hang, you can drill through the steel yourself. We use a 1/4” diameter drill bit and then countersink it with a 3/8” diameter drill. This will accommodate most sheetrock screws. As these are solid steel racks they can be heavy and require a helper for installation.
